All funnels have a lower standard taper inner joint with a sealed in drip tip and an outlet for connection to a vacuum source. All sizes have a Coarse porosity fritted disc. Column, Chromatography, 24/40 Outer Joint, 1000mL Reservoir, 2 1/2in ID X 18in E.L., 4mm Stopcock. General purpose column having a PTFE stopcock, reservoir of the listed capacity and a top standard taper outer joint. Glass wool (not supplied) is used to support the column packing. Column is constructed using MEDIUM WALL TUBING. Can be used as a gravity eluted column or a flash column (as described by W.C. Still, M. Kahn and A. Mitra of Columbia University in JOURNAL OF ORGANIC CHEMISTRY 43, 2923 [1978], and covered in U.S. Patent Number 4,293,422 dated October 6, 1981) when used with CG-1191 flow control adapter. Lower end of the column has a round bottom.

Valve, Chem-Vac, Hi-Vac, 180¿, 0-4mm, Viton O-Ring. CHEM-VAC valve with two sidearms sealed to the barrel at a 180¿ angle to one another and on the same plane. Valve has TFE plug with three o-rings, the tip o-ring making the primary seal on the precision formed tapered seat. O-rings on the non-rotating shaft form an excellent dynamic seal between the TFE plug and glass barrel. Valve, Chem-Vac, Chem-Cap, Hi-Vac, 1-Arm, 0-8mm Bore. CHEM-VAC CHEM-CAP valve has a single sidearm sealed at a 90 angle to the barrel. This inexpensive configuration allows for the lower portion of the barrel to be sealed directly to the apparatus being constructed, making for more compact, stronger assemblies.
